To keep your new Himiway E-bike running optimally, there are a few things to look out for. 

Before every ride, we recommend checking the tyre pressure, brakes and lights to ensure your bike is safe to use. For the tyres especially, you should carefully inspect them for punctures, or debris trapped in the wheels which can lead to a puncture if not removed. 

If you hear any clicking noises or if the bike has a noticeable wobble, the spokes may need tightening.

After every 100-150 miles, it’s also a good idea to use an E-bike lubricant which can help prevent corrosion, plus wear and tear. 

Some Himiway E-bikes (i.e. the Zebra) have hydraulic brakes which may require occasional bleeding. We also recommend booking in for an annual service with our E-bike technicians. Should your Himiway E-bike sustain any damage or another problem you can’t fix, we also offer a repair service.

Both the Himiway Cruiser and Zebra E-bikes offer robust options within the fat tyre category. They both also happen to be road legal models in the UK. 

However, there are some subtle differences which might make one option better suited for your needs. The Zebra has a range of up to 80 miles, which is less than the maximum 60 miles distance of the Cruiser. The motor torque is also slightly higher on the Zebra. 

In terms of riding position, the Cruiser is designed for more relaxed stances, whereas the Zebra is a more sportier type of E-bike. Price wise, the D5 Zebra is also more expensive than the Cruiser. If you are comparing different Himiway bikes and are unsure what’s right for you, our E-bike experts would be more than happy to help.
