Raleigh is one of the oldest bike brands to exist, having been founded in Nottingham over 130 years ago. The company’s rich history makes it highly likely that for many of our customers, a Raleigh bike would have been your first ever bike!
It’s fair to say that Raleigh’s transition into electric bikes allows you to recapture that nostalgia, but in a way that gives you everything you need for your ride now as a commuter. They are also ideal for someone wanting an eco-friendly way to get around to run errands, or even to tackle some performance riding.
Between the Modum, Motus, Trace and Stow-E-Way E-bike ranges, Raleigh really has considered every type of electric bike rider. So whether you’re in search of a nimble mode of transport, or you want the ultimate convenience of a folding E-bike, Raleigh has some solid options to consider.
We’ve answered some of the most popular questions about Raleigh electric bikes below, but for anything else, our E-bike experts would be more than happy to help.
You can reach the Rapid Scooter Master team through our website live chat, contact form or social media channels. Or, give our support line a call on 020 7072 2847. Then, press 1 to speak to our sales team or press 2 to reach our showroom.
Between each of the Raleigh E-bike ranges (Trace, Stow-E-Way, Motus and Modum), the maintenance steps can look a little different. However, all electric bikes including those made by Raleigh require some of the same types of care to keep them running optimally and prolong their lifespan.
It’s important to watch out for the battery’s health, as frequently allowing the battery to run out should be avoided. Instead, be sure to charge your Raleigh E-bike as soon as the charge dips below 40%.
Other routine maintenance steps include checking the tyres and brakes before every ride. Around every 150-200 miles, the moving parts (i.e. the chain) will need lubrication. Periodically, the bolts may also need tightening.
You should also take care to store your Raleigh E-bike in a dry and cool place. Finally, it’s important to book in for an E-bike service every 12 months. However, if you ride very regularly, a professional tune-up can be needed as often as every 6 months.
Are Replacement Parts for Raleigh E-Bikes Easy to Find?
At Rapid Scooter Master, we offer a repair service for all our E-bikes and E-scooters. Please get in touch if you’re in search of replacement Raleigh parts, as our technicians can perform any necessary repairs on your behalf.
As noted above, it’s also recommended to get your E-bike serviced every 12 months.
With its sleek design and attractive colourways, The Raleigh Trace Electric Bike is as enjoyable to ride as it looks.
Ideal for travelling to work on, its 250W motor ensures you can zoom through the city as you shave precious time off that morning commute. The Trace range is just as ideal for casual rides, with its lightweight frame and 50 mile range allowing you to ditch the car, train or bus as you make your way around.
Overall, Trace E-bikes are especially popular with riders who want that authentic look and feel of a traditional bike, but with the gusto of electric power to give some assistance to the journey.
While not designed as a performance E-bike, the Raleigh Trace bikes have versatile tyres and Shimano gears which can comfortably handle light trails or canal paths.
You may have noticed that some Raleigh E-bikes, including the Motus range, are classed as ‘hybrid electric bikes’.
A hybrid E-bike combines the features of a mountain bike with an electric motor to provide pedal assistance. Whether you plan on riding an E-bike as a commuter, or even for leisure riding, hybrid technology can help your journey last longer. Crucially, you still have the option to pedal so that you can get some exercise in too.
Elsewhere on our website, you’ll also find hybrid electric bikes from other brands. So let us know if you need help choosing the best hybrid model for your needs.
Yes! If you’re in search of a folding Raleigh electric bike, look no further than the Stow-E-Way range.
At Rapid Scooter Master, we sell E-bikes to our customers right across the UK. However, here in London, folding electric bikes are very popular with our local customers. That’s because folding E-bikes are permitted on public transport including the tube, which can really make the difference for commuting or simply exploring the city.
Nothing beats getting out into the open air on an electric bike! But to ensure your ride doesn’t come to an abrupt halt, we recommend opting for a long distance Raleigh model, including any E-bike from the Motus range. Boasting up to 100 miles of maximum range (that’s a whopping 160.9 KM!), you’ll be free to roam for far longer.
If a long distance Raleigh E-bike isn’t quite a perfect fit for your needs, we also have other long range electric bikes on our website. Please get in touch if we can offer any further assistance here.
