Electric scooters have quickly evolved from being a niche hobby to a legitimate alternative means of transportation and provide the capability for off road adventure. The problem, of course, arises in this overcrowded market that offers far too many alternatives.

In this crowded market, a model that has stood out as a consistent performer, has been a series of models from Kukirin, also known as Kugoo, known as their G2 series. These models are squarely in the performance group of scooters.

In this guide, we will take a closer look at all three of these models. These models are known as the normal Kukirin G2, then the enhanced version of this, which is known as the G2 Pro, and finally, for those with a bit of extra budget, there is also the high-performance version known as G2 Max.

Choose Your G2: G2 vs Pro vs Max

At first glance, these three scooters share a similar rugged DNA. They all feature that signature industrial orange-and-black aesthetic, folding mechanisms, and off-road capable tyres. However, under the deck, the specifications diverge significantly.

The standard G2 offers an excellent entry point for those who want more power than a standard Xiaomi or Ninebot but don’t need excessive speed. The G2 Pro steps it up with a detachable seat option and refined suspension, while the G2 Max is a beast designed for those who crave torque and long-distance capabilities.

While the manufacturer claims 49 miles, independent tests suggest a very respectable 30 miles of real-world usage. This 50% increase over the G2 and G2 Pro makes a huge difference; it could mean the difference between charging every day versus every two days.

Premium Build
The Max justifies its higher price tag (ยฃ699) with premium touches. It retains the 10-inch off-road tyres of the G2 but pairs them with a more robust chassis.
