All Himiway bikes are road legal in the UK, they also meet all the specifications set out for electric bikes (e-bikes) to be classified as Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPCs).

EAPC Requirements:
- Motor Power: The motor shouldn’t exceed 250 watts.
- Speed Assistance: Electric assistance should cut off at speeds exceeding 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
- Pedal Dependency: The motor must only provide assistance when the pedals are being turned.
